Competition Themes

Green Spaces in Urban Settings:

Propose an innovative solution to create or preserve green spaces in urban areas. Ideas could focus on urban gardening, rooftop gardens, green walls or creating eco-friendly parks ,green corridors. These activities should help improve biodiversity and give us clean air.

Saving Nature through the 5R’s Approach:

Design an eco-friendly solution using the 5R's—Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose & Recycle. Focus on reducing waste, cutting harmful materials and extending product life through recycling and composting. Create a sustainable, circular system that helps conserve nature.

Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy:

Create a solution that promotes energy conservation or the adoption of renewable energy sources. Ideas might involve solar energy, wind energy or energy-efficient systems for homes and businesses.

Free Choice Sustainability Idea

Teams may choose any environmental challenge to address, from the themes above or a unique idea of their own. The challenge is to create a practical, innovative and sustainable solution to any environmental problem.

Eligibility Criteria


  • Team Composition: 2-4 students aged 12-18 years at the submission deadline.
  • Adult Advisor: One adult advisor (aged 21 or older) to guide and mentor the team.
  • Each student may participate in only one team and must submit two concepts—one based on their chosen theme (concept & pre-recorded video) and another concept as a powerpoint presentation (maximum 10 slides), which will be given 10 days prior to the final event.

Stage 1 Click

• Written Concept Submission


• Deadline: July 31, 2025


• Teams must submit their written concept addressing the chosen theme. This submission will include the problem identification and a detailed solution.

Stage 2 Click

• Screening & Video Submission


• Notification: First week of August


• Deadline: August 31, 2025


• Teams selected after Stage 1 will be informed and invited to prepare their solutions for the live pitch event. In this stage, teams will also work on their skit.


• Pitch Submission Format: Teams will submit a pitch deck and a 5-7 minute video explaining their environmental problem, proposed solution and its potential impact.


• Problem Identification Presentation: Teams will receive another theme 10 days prior to the final event.

Stage 3 Click

• Final Day – Live Pitch


• Event Date: October 2025 (tentative)


• On the final day, teams will participate in a live Q&A round with the judges about their pre-recorded video, perform their skit and present the second concept (from the Spontaneous Challenge) using a PowerPoint presentation.

Live Pitch Event 2025

The Green Innovation Challenge 2025 was held on 8 November 2025 at RKGIT, Ghaziabad, bringing together young innovators to showcase sustainable solutions. Group A focused on Environmental Protection & Energy Conservation, while Group B highlighted Sustainable Innovation & Waste Management. Participants presented their ideas through videos, skits, working models, and presentations. The event’s highlights and winning entries were also featured in official publications, celebrating the participants’ efforts toward a greener future.
